Charity in SW9 now seeks fundraiser with major donor experience, for 2 year contract, to maximise income and support from high net-worth individuals through the development of a £15 million five-year multi-million pound campaign. Managing approaches to donors and prospective donors in order to secure substantial gifts and successfully develop the new major donor fundraising campaign you will be responsible for initiating, developing and managing face to face relationships with high-net worth individuals (principally with those who identify themselves as Catholic) and, when appropriate, soliciting major gifts either directly or through an appropriate peer. Vital you have outstanding interpersonal skills so you can communicate convincingly and authoritatively with donors, prospective donors and key influencers in face to face meetings, on the telephone, in letters and emails and in written proposals. Occasional short trips to Africa, Asia or Latin America with donors will be required. With a proven track record in reaching and exceeding annual targets and objectives you could come from commerce or charity background and will be an outstanding relationship builder/networker, able to demonstrate previous success in influencing and gaining the confidence of major donors and prospective major donors, at senior level in the business world. Vital that you have an understanding of the Catholic Church and are able to work effectively with it. Closing date 29th January 2010.
