International organisation involved in all aspects of combating oil and chemical spills in the marine environment, seek MSc graduate (scientific, engineering or related discipline) , with marine/environmental/biological background. Technically knowledgeable, with practical experience of pollution control, and/or the effects of pollution on marine resources you will advise on marine pollution. HQ'd in Central London it is VITAL you are able to travel internationally at short notice and work under pressure as you will be on call to attend incident sites; provide technical advice on oil & chemical spills and clean up strategy; liaise with senior public sector officials, media and scientists regarding impact and damage; take part in contamination surveys; provide training and support when required +++. Essential you can manage time critical projects and remain calm in a disaster. Relevant experience gained in a commercial / consultancy role advantageous. A strong communicator with good interpersonal skills you must have mother tongue (or equivalent) English (written and spoken). Fluency in additional languages desirable. Start ASAP.
